Chiropractic Associated with Significant Reduction in Opioid Prescriptions

A recent study found that persons who sought chiropractic care for musculoskeletal problems were almost 50% less likely to receive an opioid prescription compared to those who went to other healthcare providers. Researchers reached this conclusion after reviewing 6 studies totaling over 60,000 patients who sought care for musculoskeletal problems.

Compound in apple skins might help treat Multiple Sclerosis

A compound commonly found in fruit peels might, one day, prove helpful in the treatment of multiple sclerosis. Ursolic acid which is commonly found in the peels of apples, pears and prunes has been shown in lab animals to repair neurons and possibly halt the progression of multiple sclerosis.

Fitness equipment sales are strong

Traditional and online retailers are reporting strong sales of home workout equipment. With the Covid-19 stay-at-home restrictions and the closing of many gyms around the country, the sales of fitness equipment has skyrocketed. Retail giants like Walmart and Amazon are showing “out of stock” status for popular workout equipment including barbells and dumbbells.
